Mrs. Chelsea Tryon, Principal

Mrs. Chelsea Tryon

Mrs. Chelsea Tryon was named Principal of Stafford High School in November of 2023. Mrs. Tryon earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Leadership from Christopher Newport University. She then earned her Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Special Education and Administration and Supervision from the University of Mary Washington. 

Mrs. Tryon began her teaching career at Andrew G. Wright Middle School in 2004. She spent 10 years as a middle and high school special education teacher before transitioning to administration in 2012. 

Mrs. Tryon attended Ferry Farm Elementary School, Gayle Middle School, and graduated from Brooke Point High School. She lives in the Fredericksburg 22405 area with her husband, who works at Brooke Point High School, and two sons, who attend Stafford High School.

Ms. Brittany Bauccio, Assistant Principal

Ms. Brittany Bauccio was named Assistant Principal of Stafford High School in February 2023. Ms. Bauccio earned her Educational Leadership certificate through James Madison University, Master’s in Education from Marymount University, and both a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Ohio University. 

Prior to joining Stafford High School, she served as a summer school principal and an administrator in the Teacher on Special Assignment role. She has supported curriculum development and taught English Language Arts grades 6-11, journalism and creative writing. Prior to working in education, Ms. Bauccio worked in public relations and communications supporting science, healthcare and consumer accounts. 

Ms. Bauccio is passionate about instructional leadership and setting all staff and students up for success. She is committed to creating and supporting a student centered learning environment that fosters high expectations for all. She strives to ensure all students reach their full potential and are prepared for their academic and professional pursuits after high school. Ms. Bauccio grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, but now calls Northern Virginia home. In her free time, Ms. Bauccio enjoys running, reading and spending time outdoors with her two boys and pup.

Mrs. Heather Carafiol, Assistant Principal

Mrs. Carafiol joined the Stafford High School administration team in August 2023. She has been a proud member of Stafford's Tribe since 2005, serving as an English teacher, department chair, and coach. She has been the school’s Teacher of the Year, served on its School Improvement Plan team, and its Renaissance committee for school culture. She advocates to empower all members of the school community and promotes a growth mindset: all learners, educators, and communities can improve and evolve if given proper opportunities and support along the way!  

Mrs. Carafiol earned her Bachelor of Arts in English at the College of William and Mary, her Master's in Education from the University of Mary Washington, and her Education Specialist degree and certification in Administration and Supervision from Liberty University. She also earned distinction as a National Board Certified Teacher in 2011, and has enjoyed mentoring both teachers and students throughout her career.

When not roaming the halls of Stafford, Mrs. Carafiol enjoys family time with her husband, three daughters, and dog. She also loves reading, crafts, sports, and travel!

Mr. Nicholas Leeson, Assistant Principal, Director of Athletics and Activities

Nicholas Leeson serves as the Director of Athletics and Activities at Stafford High School, bringing a wealth of experience in athletic leadership from both domestic and international settings. Before joining the Indian family, Mr. Leeson served as the Athletic Director at South Mecklenberg High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he led a $350,000 facilities improvement project and rebranded the school’s athletic department. His career also includes over a decade of service as an athletics director and physical education teacher at international schools in Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, and North Carolina.

Mr. Leeson holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech and a Master of Science in Sports Management from Western Carolina University. He also holds graduate certificates in project management and secondary education and is recognized as a Certified Master Athletic Administrator. At Stafford High School, Mr. Leeson is dedicated to fostering school spirit, expanding opportunities for student involvement, and building a vibrant, inclusive athletics and activities program.

When Coach Leeson isn't running around the campus, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Mrs. Leeson, who teaches Math at Stafford, and two children who attend Grafton Village ES.

Dr. Jaielle Manning, Assistant Principal

Dr. Manning holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a vocal concentration and an emphasis in Education from Hampton University, obtained in May 2014. She furthered her education at Hampton University, earning a Master of Arts in Teaching in 2015. In August 2020, she received an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership PK-12 from Old Dominion University, where she was honored with the Outstanding Educational Specialist Student Award in Educational Leadership in 2021. Dr. Manning earned her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Old Dominion University in the fall of 2025. 

Dr. Manning's professional experience includes serving as the Choral Director at Lakeland High School in Suffolk, VA from 2015 to 2022 and as a General Music Teacher at Forest Edge Elementary in Reston, VA from 2022 to 2024. In summer 2024, she joined Stafford County Public Schools as an Assistant Principal at Stafford High School.

In her free time, Dr. Manning enjoys music and the arts, reading, and spending time with her family. She believes that relationship building is integral to achievement and is excited to get involved with the Stafford community.

Mr. James Ralph, Assistant Principal

Mr. Ralph has been an employee of Stafford County Public Schools for the past 30 years.  Mr. Ralph served as an Assistant Principal at Brooke Point High School for 17 years. In 2023, Mr. Ralph joined the Indians, and he could not be more excited to work with the Stafford High School community!

Mr. Ralph is the father of two Stafford County graduates, and he and his wife, Erin, are also proud Stafford County graduates.

Mr. Daniel Reschke, Dean of Students

Mr. Reschke started his career in education at Stafford High School in January 2018. He previously taught social studies for six years before becoming the Dean of Students in August 2024.

Prior to teaching, Mr. Reschke served on active duty in the U.S. Air Force as a paralegal for nine years, in which he assisted lawyers in the prosecution and defense of Airmen in criminal trials and other adverse administrative proceedings and generated a variety of legal documents for civil law clients. He also served in the Air Force Reserve as a paralegal for three years while he was completing his undergraduate degree. He is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington and has a Bachelor of Arts in History. He is currently enrolled in Shenandoah University’s Master of Science in Education: Education Administration program and is projected to finish this degree in May 2026.

Mr. Reschke is married to the reading specialist at Dixon-Smith Middle School and they have one daughter, who is a seventh-grader at Dixon-Smith Middle School.
